BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:00 P.M.) – The so-called “Islamic State” (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) launched a big attack against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) inside the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate on Thursday.
Daesh began their attack on Thursday morning by storming the Syrian Arab Army’s positions along the main road to the strategic T-2 Pumping Station.
According to a military source in Palmyra, Daesh was able to capture some ground from the Syrian Arab Army between the Homs provincial border and the T-2 Pumping Station.
The source added that more than ten Syrian Arab Army soldiers were killed during the attack by the Daesh forces.
On Thursday afternoon, the Syrian Arab Army launched a swift attack to retake all the ground they lost to the Daesh terrorists earlier in the day.
The Syrian Army not only recapture the territory they lost, but they also managed to kill several of the Daesh terrorists that took part in the previous attack.
