BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:40 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) heavily targeted the jihadist trenches along the southern Idlib front-lines on Monday, as they continue their assault on the militant defenses in Jabal Al-Zawiya.

According to a field report from the Idlib front, the Syrian Arab Army troops launched several artillery shells and missiles towards the jihadist defenses in the Jabal Al-Zawiya region, causing the destruction of a number of militant points in the process.

The Syrian Army also targeted the jihadist-led Hurras Al-Deen group’s positions in the Al-Ghaab Plain region of northwestern Hama.

Since the Hurras Al-Deen group launched a surprise attack earlier this month, the Syrian Arab Army has zeroed in on their positions with daily strikes.

While these strikes are carried out a daily, it appears the Syrian Army is actually preparing for a new offensive that seeks to expel the jihadist rebels from the Jabal Al-Zawiya and Al-Ghaab Plain regions.

These aforementioned regions have been used by the Hurras Al-Deen group and the Turkestan Islamic Party to launch attacks against the Syrian Army troops in the area.
