BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:50 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army continued their large-scale offensive in the Golan Heights this morning, targeting the last positions of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham near the town of Mughar Al-Mir.
Led by their elite 42nd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Army stormed the large hilltop of Tal Maqtoul that is located at the outskirts of Mughar Al-Mir.
According to a military source that is stationed near the Golan Heights, the Syrian Army’s 42nd Brigade managed to break-through Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s at the northern flank of the hill.
Once the Syrian Army takes control of Tal Maqtoul, they will have fire control over the entire town of Mughar Al-Mir.
Previously, they enjoyed fire control over the northern part of Mughar Al-Mir; however, Tal Maqtoul will give them fire control the remaining parts of the town, which will force Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham to retreat to Beit Jinn.
