BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is steadily advancing in the northern countryside of Hama, capturing large chunks of this region located just south of the Idlib Governorate’s provincial border.
Led by the Tiger Forces and 5th Legion, the Syrian Arab Army captured the key town of Halfaya this morning after overrunning Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s main line of defense.
However, the Syrian Arab Army was not done after capturing Halfaya; they would go on and seize several more sites around the town and near Morek.
Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Army announced the capture of Zour Al-Haysa, following another short battle with the exhausted jihadist rebels near Halfaya.
According to local journalists, the Syrian Arab Army has now entered nearby Buwaydah village, which is located less than 5km south of the strategic town of Morek.
Once Buwaydah and Markabah are captured by the Syrian Arab Army, they will be able to begin their imperative assault on Morek and its nearby points.
In the meantime, the Syrian Arab Army’s artillery teams are pounding away at the jihadist strongholds of Kafr Zita and Al-Lataminah, while Russian airstrikes hammer Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions inside Morek.
