BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 A.M.) – The official media wing of the Tiger Forces released a video on Thursday that showed a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) traveling through the jihadist stronghold of Ma’arat Masreen in the Idlib Governorate.
In the short video, the Syrian Army spy films traveling through Ma’arat Masreen, which is under the control of the jihadist rebels from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
The Syrian Army is believed to have a large spy network in the Idlib Governorate that provides the government information on the jihadist movements throughout the region.
Over the last six months, the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham have attempted to crack down on this spy network by arresting several suspected government sympathizers in Idlib.
Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham has released videos and photos of their fighters carrying out executions of alleged Syrian Army spies in Idlib; however, it is very difficult to confirm whether or not these Syrians are in fact government spies.
