BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:25 P.M.) – A high-ranking militant commander killed due to a roadside bomb attack in southern Idlib province is confirmed have been the victim of an assassination operation carried out by Syrian Arab Army spies.

Saleh Yousef Ajeni, a battlefield commander for the Faylaq al-Sham Islamist militant group, was killed today when a roadside bomb hit and destroyed his car as it was traveling along the Al-Mastouma to Ariha road in southern Idlib.

Ajeni was killed instantly by the blast according to reports.

Sources exclusive to Al-Masdar News state that Ajeni’s assassination was the doing of Syrian Army spies linked to the Tiger Forces operations room (an elite formation within the Syrian Armed Forces that itself is linked to air force intelligence).

Sure enough, the operation comes not along after army sleeper agents released footage showing their presence inside the town of Ariha and stating, on camera, to be government operatives.
