BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army continued their mass build-up of troops in northwest Syria this week, as their high command ordered another division to deploy to the Idlib front.

According to a military report from the Hama province, the Syrian Arab Army deployed their 9th Division, including their shock troops, to the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

Many of the soldiers were previously deployed to the Daraa Governorate in southern Syria before they received orders to move towards Idlib.

The new military build-up in the Hama and Idlib governorates comes in response to Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s seizure of western Aleppo and most of the areas previously controlled by the Turkish-backed rebels.

The Syrian Arab Army views Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham as a terror group that cannot be reconciled with the state.

Due to their views on Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, the Syrian Arab Army and their Russian allies have declared that they will expel these jihadists from any Syrian territories.
