BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their offensive operations inside the eastern suburbs of Damascus on Friday, targeting the defenses of the jihadist rebels around Barzeh and Al-Qaboun.

Led by the 42nd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division and 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the dairy factory under the control of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, resulting in a fierce battle that waged for several hours on Friday.

Following this intense battle, the Syrian Arab Army troops imposed full control over this site, forcing Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham to withdraw south along Hafezh Street.

The Syrian Arab Army would also captured several other points inside the Al-Qaboun suburb on Friday, killing and wounding a number of militants from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham amid their latest advance in east Damascus.
