BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:50 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army liberated the Al-Bab-Raqqa Road from the Islamic State terrorists this week, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday.

While the Syrian Arab Army has made remarkable progress in east Aleppo, they have only cutoff the Al-Bab-Raqqa Road; they have not yet imposed full control over this Islamic State supply route.

The Syrian Arab Army cutoff the Islamic State’s Al-Bab supply route when they reached the road that flows into the important town of Tadef, which is located just south of the terrorist group’s stronghold.

With Al-Bab cutoff from supplies, the Syrian Arab Army should have a much easier battle with the Islamic State forces at the key town of Tadef.

Cutting off the Islamic State’s supply line will also aid the Turkish-backed forces attacking Al-Bab’s western perimeter, despite the fact some of those groups are also fighting the Syrian Arab Army.

Well, SAA has allowed FSA/Turks to take the Al Bab/Tadef junction. Once again, they employed an idiotic frontal assault against Tadef. Had they bypassed, as I suggested, just yesterday, this would have been prevented.
From yesterday: They should send a force, along the road to the west, to bypass Tadef, take control of M4 and the roundabout between Tadef and Al Bab, and then let follow-on units take this town.
The route I was suggesting is in blue. The one they took (I’m assuming, or even farther east), in grey. https://goo.gl/maps/Ab6sukH6r1x
