BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:55 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored a new advance inside the Beit Jinn pocket near the occupied Golan Heights on Saturay, capturing several areas from the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
Led by their elite 42nd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Arab Army continued their advance from the recently captured Khirbat Herakl area, pushing to nearby Al-Menbij and Halat.
According to a military report released tonight, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies have taken control of Al-Menbeij and Halat after a short battle with the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants inside this West Ghouta pocket.
Following the capture of these areas, the Syrian Army unleashed a flurry of surface-to-surface missiles on the jihadist-held hilltop of Tal Marwan.
The Syrian Army is expected to make another to capture Tal Marwan in the coming hours, as they continue to pressure the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants at this hilltop.
