BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:10 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army scored a new advance in the southeastern countryside of the Hama Governorate, seizing another town from the jihadist rebels in the area.

Led by their 4th and 11th divisions, the Syrian Arab Army advanced from the recently captured town of Salim to nearby Hamrat.

According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Arab Army was able to quickly sweep through the town of Hamrat after a brief firefight with the jihadist rebels.

Once the militants left Hamrat, the Syrian Arab Army was able to fully secure the town and its surroundings,

This latest offensive by the Syrian Army comes just days after failed talks with the rebel forces in the northern countryside of Homs.
