DAMASCUS, SYRIA (2:30 A.M.) – With the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) seasoned 4th Mechanized Division gearing up for its highly anticipated Daraa offensive, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) pounded Islamist hideouts and supply lines throughout Sunday.

Below, footage showing airstrikes on rebel-held districts is available:

Additionally, SAA artillery units hit positions held by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (Syrian Al-Qaeda branch) and its Free Syrian Army (FSA) allies at the neighborhoods ofDeraa Al-Balad, Tareeq Al-Sad and the Daraa Camp using a variety of surface-to-surface missiles, mortar guns, elephant rockets and artillery pieces:

Meanwhile, the 4th Division – led by Colonel Ghayath Galla – scored their first territorial advance after kicking off a ground offensive on Sunday afternoon which resulted in SAA troops capturing most of the School Complex area in the Daraa Camp suburb.

In related news, FSA groups began fighting one another in rural Daraa as previously allied rebel forces accused each other of trying to defect to the ISIS-linked Jaish Khalid ibn al-Waleed.
