BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:55 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored a big advance near the occupied Golan Heights, today, capturing several sites from the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham in the Beit Jinn pocket.
Led by the 42nd Brigade of the 4th Division, the Syrian Arab Army began the day by storming the hilltops of Tal Madiwar and Tal Maqtoul Al-Sharqi from their positions at Taloul Barda’yah.
Not long after launching the attack, the Syrian Arab Army broke-through Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s front-lines at Tal Madiwar and Tal Maqtoul Al-Sharqi, forcing the latter to retreat towards Tal Maqtoul Al-Gharbiyah.
With only Tal Maqtoul Al-Gharbiyah left to capture, the Syrian Arab Army is closing in on the jihadist stronghold of Mughar Al-Mir, which is one of the last towns in the Beit Jinn pocket of the West Ghouta.
