BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:45 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside the National Defense Forces (NDF), launched a surprise attack in the Golan Heights on Saturday, striking the jihadist defenses in the town of Al-Samdaniyah Al-Gharbiyah.

Led by the 90th Brigade, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies attacked the Red Villa area at the outskirts of Al-Samdaniyah Al-Gharbiyah, resulting in a fierce battle on Saturday night.

According to the Golani Regiment (Fouj Al-Joulan), the Syrian Armed Forces managed to capture the Red Villa and several points around this area, scoring a swift advance before the jihadist rebels could regroup.

The Golani Regiment added that their artillery strikes proved important during last night’s attack, as they inflicted heavy damage on the jihadist defenses before storming the Red Villa.
