DAMASCUS, SYRIA (5:50 P.M.) – On Tuesday, ISIS insurgents attempted to infiltrate two government-held neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor city, resulting in ferocious firefights between the warring parties in eastern Syria.

According to a military source debriefing Al-Masdar News, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) foiled two coordinated ISIS attack on the Huwyqah and Rashdiyah districts.

Meanwhile, the Russian Air Force set ablaze an ammunition storage in the Al-Hamidiyah district after which a massive fire engulfed the ISIS-held facility.

In the countryside of Deir Ezzor, the SAA – heavily assisted by Russian warplanes – inflicted 19 casualties upon ISIS members who were bombarded by artillery and missiles while gathering around the Panorama area, Al-Tanmiyah, Ummal and the cemetery area.

With the Kurds slowly winning the battle for Raqqa, ISIS has thrown much of its military power against Deir Ezzor in a bid to establish a new safer capital in the center of ISIS-held territory across Iraq and Syria.

However, SAA forces under the command of Major General Issam Zahreddine could be liberated before the end of the year after government forces overran the highway town of Arak and the nearby T3 Airbase in eastern Homs earlier today, thus bringing them ever closer to lifting the siege of Deir Ezzor.

The valiant SAA defenders of Deir Ezzor, including the widows and families of the deceased deserve an enhanced government pension when Liberation comes. They have all been an example, wherever we live, that raw courage and the willpower to stand firm against almost impossible odds can halt and defeat US hegemony.

Only yesterday Mad Dog Mattis ( of depleted uranium infamy in Falujah) stated that the US was losing the 16 YEAR war in Afghanistan. Let us all pray that the US loses in Syria and Iraq also.
