BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:40 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) issued a powerful response to the Turkish military’s attack on their positions this afternoon, a source in Aleppo city told Al-Masdar News.

According to the source, the Syrian Arab Army fired several artillery shells towards the Turkish military’s positions in the Afrin region of northwest Aleppo after the latter fired several projectiles at their posts near the town of Tal Rifa’at.

The source said that some Syrian soldiers were wounded as a result of the Turkish military strikes; however, they were minor injuries.

He would add that the Syrian Army fired the artillery shells towards the small town of Jaleel, which is controlled by the Turkish military.

The response was meant to deter the Turkish military from launching anymore strikes on their positions in northern Aleppo.

Worderful Russia-Turjey agreement for Turkey and terrorists in Idlib, isn’t it ? Terrorists and Turkey can attack any time they want to Syria without any problem ( Russia aerospace force response). The only freedom Syria army has right now is just to defense its positions and reply the attack. Syria-Hezbolah-Iran-Russia ground troops have been ready for an offensive for more than a month ago. Russia must give 24 hours to Turkey to move back home or else.

Since Russia is in bed with Turkey – Turkey will continue its offensive attacks and movements in Syria. Then eventually if Syria attacks Turkey – it will be countered by the S-400 system that Russia kindly sold to its bed buddy, Turkey.

@Dr. James Padgett, who of the big powers has not been in bed with the head köçek of the Sultanate of Turkey?

Softly. Syria already has SS systems. And the Sultan has been a proctalgic to all his neighbours. The grey wolves may attract more hunters then they expect when they howl too loud.

Syria cannot attack a NATO country without risking defeat because that invokes the defence case of the treaty.

You don’t even know what you’re talking about. Russia brokered the ceasefire in Idlib to prevent the Turkish side and Syrian side from fighting. That hasn’t gone too well, but the Russians clearly need Syria stable as their troops are on the ground there and they have now 2 permanent bases there. Know before talking.

This is not a matter of preventing something, this is a matter of eliminating the terrorists in Idlib and push back Turkey home. Yes, Turkey-Syria fight will be necessary to prevent a total Turkey invasion to the north part of Syria. Turkey is an enemy of Syria, it is not a friend.

gzman501 .

Which aren’t there yet and won’t be for a while. Russia needs Syria more than Turkey. Turkey is a pawn…and is vulnerable.
