Aleppo, Syria (11:15 P.M.) – Moments ago, an exclusive field source informed Al-Masdar News that the Syrian Army and the allied Quds Brigade withdrew from Handarat Camp following their inability to fortify the captured positions ahead of reports of a mass scale counteroffensive led by Jabhat Fath Al-Sham (Qaeda affiliate).

Nevertheless, Quds Brigade managed to repel the latest militant assault at 9:45 P.M. Syria time; henceforth, Al-Masdar reported the event in the previous article.

However, as of this moment, the Syrian Armed Forces maintain control of the Shaher sector and the Handarat Industrial District east of the refugee camp enabling them the option to counterattack at any second.

Both sides are unable to fortify their positions in order to hold them at the aforementioned camp; therefore, the situation is prone to change at any moment.

It’s only a matter of time before the SAA and its allies liberate all of Aleppo. Pray for these fighters who are defending not only the Syrian Republic, but all of humanity.

Dude like I always say if you feel like you are being let down then why don’t you take matters in your own hands and join the fight? The SAA are doing everything they can. Everyone expected a counter offensive from the terrorists but the next time that the SAA capture the district they will be in a position to hold it.

As all previous battles of Handarat camp have shown – Neither side will hold it long enough to be able to fortify it. Expect some WW1esque “trench” fighting.

No thats the SAAs strategy it worked on the Mallah Battle and will sure do on this one.. Capture it for a few Hours inflict as much Damage as they can to the Militants and withdraw to avoid Human Losses. . The Militants Defences will Eventually Collapse in the Area which will make it alot easier for them to Fortify their Positions.. also the Handarat Battle is nothing but a Distraction to the Militants to make them Move all of their Reinforcements to that area leaving the Sheikh Seid and Sukkari District ( these are one of the main districts… Read more »

Handarat IS an important location because it serves as a potential supply route to government-held Western Aleppo. Rebels can afford attrition warfare due to constant flow of local recruits, however SAA is on a timer. They have to rely on foreign and/or Shia militias for their important operations, as we see in Handarat where Liwa Al-Quds is the main attacker while being supported by Iraqi Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba and the Lebanese Hezbollah. They can counterattack at any moment from the Shaher sector but these units do not want to deplete their strengths in meat-grinder battles so they rather wait for… Read more »

I don’t think that the terrorists can afford attrition warfare. They are constantly in shortage of manpower. That would explain why they are using so many child fighters. And don’t forget that the jihadists are surrounded in Aleppo so they have no hope of receiving reinforcements. The SAA should exploit this and create kill zones in certain parts of Aleppo as a way of reducing their enemies manpower. In early August the jihadists did the SAA a favor by punching through SAA lines and creating a narrow corridor to Eastern Aleppo only to find themselves caught up in a trap… Read more »

I agree with that.. the Militants are not able to get any supplies from that Area as the Castillo highway is already Cut by the SAAs.. but as i said the Handarat battle is just a Distraction for the Militants from the Real Largest offensive which will be launched in a few Days at the Sheikh Saed District.. Liwa Al Quds Brigade are expected to launch a counter Offensive this Morning after the SyAF and Ruaf air Support..
