BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:00 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is currently involved in a tough battle with Jaysh Al-Islam militants inside the rural town of Al-Rayhan in the East Ghouta region.

Led by their elite Tiger Forces and Republican Guard units, the Syrian Arab Army restarted their battle to capture Al-Rayhan on Sunday; they would manage to capture all of the farms surrounding the eastern and southern part of the tow.

On Tuesday, the Syrian Army and Jaysh Al-Islam resumed their clashes at Al-Rayhan, with the latter refusing to give up any ground to the government forces.

Intense clashes are still ongoing between the two sides, as the Syrian Arab Army attempts to reach Douma’s eastern sector from Al-Rayhan in the coming days.
