BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:15 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored a new advance in southern Idlib overnight, capturing three towns that were under the control of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jaysh Al-‘Izza.

Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army was able to capture the towns of Al-Nasiriya, Luwaibida and East Luwaibida after a swift night assault against the jihadist rebels.

Following the capture of these sites, the Syrian Arab Army pressed north towards Sinjar, which is an important town that is located along an imperative road leading to the jihadist stronghold of Ma’arat Al-Nu’man.

While Ma’arat Al-Nu’man is not currently a target, the Syrian Army will still need to capture the important towns located south of this jihadist stronghold before they can secure the Hama provincial border.
