BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:20 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is preparing to launch a big offensive in the eastern suburbs of Damascus after successfully repelling another Islamist offensive in Harasta.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Division and Republican Guard have been positioning themselves to launch an offensive from several axes around the strategic vehicle management base.

The goal of this offensive will be to push back Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and Faylaq Al-Rahman from the vehicle management base and secure the supply route to this imperative installation.

With Ahrar Al-Sham’s recent losses in Harasta weighing down their forces, the Syrian Army will likely take advantage of their misfortunes and launch the offensive in the coming days.
