BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) high command passed a new decree on Tuesday that offiically retired soldiers that were born in and before 1981.

According to the decree, the Syrian soldiers born in and before 1981 will be honorably discharged from the armed forces.

This decree comes just a week after the Syrian Arab Army announced that they were discharging soldiers that were part of the 2011 conscription class.

I would certainly qualify if I were Syrian. Hats off to the patriots defending Syria and all the best in the future for both Syria and her people.

Any way, better have a professional army : pros are way much more efficient. Just consider the USMC kill ratio : 87:1… It’s even higher with the Foreign Legion which clearly (when you know some of them), inspired Schwarzy for the Terminator character… Sorry, but drafted militaries are not very efficient.
