BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:05 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their offensive in the eastern suburbs of Damascus, Wednesday, striking the jihadist rebels at both Jobar and ‘Ayn Tarma.

Led by their elite 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army broke-through Faylaq Al-Rahman’s front-lines in the western part of ‘Ayn Tarma, capturing several points from the militant forces this morning.

In addition to their advance at ‘Ayn Tarma, the Syrian Arab Army also scored a big advance inside Jobar, seizing a number of points in the Taybah area after a fierce battle with the jihadist rebels.

With the Syrian Army swiftly gaining ground in eastern Damascus, the jihadist rebels will likely sue for peace in the coming weeks, as they find themselves surrounded in several areas.
