DAMASCUS, SYRIA (2:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside Hezbollah, launched a powerful assault in southwestern Aleppo today, targeting the Aqrab area that was under Jaysh Al-Fateh’s (Army of Conquesr) control.

Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah broke-through Jaysh Al-Fateh’s front-line defenses at the northern axis of this district, forcing the latter to withdraw towards the Souq Al-Jabas area, which was later captured.

Unable to retake the initiative, the jihadist rebels ultimately withdrew from the Aqrab area in favor of a better defensive position at Aleppo’s southwestern outskirts.

As a result of today’s advance by the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah, their forces have officially reversed all of the gains made by Jaysh Al-Fateh during their large-scale offensive.

The Syrian Arab Army is expected to launch a massive offensive in the coming days that will focus on several axes in and around Aleppo City, making this the largest military operation during this Syrian conflict.
