The Syrian Arab Army backed by allied militias managed to capture most of Hayyan Gas Fields in the eastern countryside of Homs.

The gas fields have not been fully secured yet but the operation is ongoing. In an adjacent development, the Syrian Army advanced towards the Mahr Oil Fields capturing a number of hills overlooking the aforementioned oil field.

The SAA is currently advancing under the heavy cover of airstrikes and artillery neutralizing at least 20 ISIS terrorists and injurin dozens more.

The most recent advances place the government forces at a distance of less than 30 km from Palmyra’s western gates.

I agree with you. I think that the reason is that the terrorists are willing to die while fighting which is not the case of regular army soldiers.
I think what the syrian army should do now is to focus on one front and only one, in order to get important gains quickly,i.e ignore east Aleppo and focus only on Palmyra’s front

The extermination of all terrorists in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Egypt, and
throughout the Middle East must be top priority.

Very good, but they must not hesitate to take out more ISIS soldiers at any given opportunity, because the more they leave alive, the more they risk ISIS retaking the same territory the SAA just regained.

No reality in some of the comments Terrorists pushed nearly 20000 into the offensive against 1000. 10000 remained spread out in defensive positions which have to be picked apart bit by bit by a force that is only starting to reach parity in numbers and support vehicles APC and tanks the advantage was 6-1 in terrorist favour its far more even now after intense ait attacks and some withdrawal to save armour.

To suggest SAA and friends are apathetic is wrong and ill informed.

@Tartus66 Thx for posting detail numbers. I had already posted similar comment because it depends on numbers and equipment how fast it is.

Massive advance for SAA = they captured an outhouse without losing another city or airbase. Wow! Truly amazing! At this rate they will recover the country in the year 2525, if man is still alive …
