BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:20 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside Hezbollah and Liwaa Fatemiyoun, resumed their offensive operations in the eastern countryside of Homs, Thursday, targeting the Islamic State’s position near the recently liberated T-3 Pumping Station.

Led by their elite 5th Corps, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies managed to liberate the Zahr Abah area, which is located just 10km southeast of the strategic town of Arak, along the main road to the T-3 Pumping Station.

Following the liberation of the Zahr Abah area, the Syrian Arab Army continued their assault at the Arak Gas Fields, where they inflicted heavy damage on the Islamic State’s defenses, while also advancing to the eastern wells.

According to a military source in Palmyra, the Syrian Arab Army should be able to take control of the Arak Gas Fields in the coming days, as their forces possess most of the high ground surrounding the area.
