BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:05 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their large-scale advance in the Homs Governorate on Friday, targeting the southeastern part of Syria’s largest territorial province.

Led by the 1st Armored Division, the Syrian Arab Army attacked the Islamic State’s defenses approximately 13km south of the T-4 Military, capturing several gas wells en route to reaching the Al-Ba’ir Al-Mar area of southeast Homs.

At approximately 3:00 P.M. (Damascus Time), the Syrian Arab Army’s High Command announced that their full control over the Al-Ba’ir Al-Mar area, killing and wounding a large number of Islamic State terrorists in the process.

The video footage above was captured by Hezbollah’s media wing on Friday; it shows the Syrian Arab Army’s advance through the Syrian Desert.

As a result of Friday’s gains, the Syrian Arab Army is now 20 km south of the T-4 Military Airport and a considerable distance from the ancient Assyrian city of Quraytayn.

They must take Al-Busayri crossroads. That way they will considerably hinder ISIS movement in the Homs desert…

Yes – IMHO the big roads are needed to relocate and supply. If You own the junctions or interconnections the other side is in trouble, loosing time.

I do not want to be the chair strategist, but they really had to take out the Tafnah-Manuh-a line at least ’till Abu Hanaya area northeast of T4 also. There the ISraeli franchise has considerable resources and no matter how far SAA and allies can go around T4 or Tadmur (again), everything may always be reversed by a swift step in the back.

Actually, I have visibly the same kind of reasoning.
I must have been a KGB operative too!
Maybe am I from the DGSE?

I’m actually neither a fanboy for Napoléon III, nor for Napoléon Ier, Not even for Charlemagne, when it comes to realm, I’m more “In the Realm of the Senses” (Oshima movie), thus I’m not into pushing things so far, LOL!

BTW, aren’t you related with Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud?

So what – You do not have to share his opinions. Say where he is wrong.

BudSpencer : because facts are facts, some have great troubles accepting reality for what it is. Actually, they’re not so numerous to thumbdown, thus, I don’t really care. Well, it seems that some can’t stand that I don’t dehumanise Israelis or simply manage to explain what they are doing when most of people seem not to understand it, i.e. the rules of engagement of their air-force. Just consider the two last air-strikes : it made some people mad while, in both cases, it was Iran transferring 200-300km range ballistic missiles to Hezbollah and not to use these in Syria but… Read more »

Kleptocracy and wasta are en vogue in the area. They only complain when the wrong ones get. p.s. Where did You find that “Fatah/PLO was created by a former Waffen SS general named Hajj Amin al-Husseini”. AFAIK He was Great Mufti in Jerusalem and held no military German rank. He helped to recruit Muslim for the SS – that is his connection to the SS. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/muftihit.html

You go girl! Don’t let them get to you, they’re Muslims, they’re the definition of ignorant; they’re not even aware of the despicable things their own prophet did, let alone have some insight into what’s going on in this war.

You’re calling us ignorant? The Quran is an indisputable revelation from God which all Muslims accept. We read varying segments of it five times a day in our Salah prayers, every day of the year, so we all know its contents, its meanings and its guiding advice. In the holy month of Ramadan, when we refrain from food and drink throughout the daylight hours for thirty days straight, we analyze and recite aloud the Quran in its entirety in the evenings even more so than any other time during the year. So do not tell us that we are ignorant… Read more »

The fact is that Assad is a pawn of Iran’s, helping arm Hezbollah with some ridiculous missiles whose sole purpose to murder Israelis, including citizens. Israel has a right to stop this from happening. It’s the Muslims that are holding up peace in the region, if they put down their guns then harmony would prevail. If Israel did then they’d be massacred. Fact: Muslims want to take over, nothing more, and Israel is basically like a frontline for the civilised world.

Not all are interested in the facts he presents. Military details. Some oppose his opinions. He is a communist from EC. But IMHO our political opinion or nation does not matter. We all are here to comment. p.s. I only down vote the spammers and oppose opinions that I do not share. IMHO all should.

The fact that it uses the term ‘Shoah’ to describe the Holocaust when no one on the planet other than the juden themselves uses it certainly doesn’t help ease suspicions.
