On Monday morning, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) captured a new batch of villages in the eastern Aleppo countryside amid fierce clashes with ISIS militants in the region.

The advance was secured solely by the SAA’s Tiger Forces that have now imposed full control over the villages of Zarurah, Jubb al-Sultan, and Jubb al-Hamam.

Yesterday, the SAA captured a handful of villages from ISIS in the region but were mostly preoccupied with fighting off a Turkish Army assault on Tadef. The latter town is still under government control despite some reports to the contrary.

Due to today’s advance, the Tiger Forces are less than 5 kilometers from linking up with the Kurdish-led ‘Syrian Democratic Forces’ (SDF) near Manbij.

Both the SDF and SAA have clashed with the Euphrates Shield forces and ISIS in recent days; thus, a pragmatic alliance may be established.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Army are heavily shelling villages and towns held by the SDF in the region. Artillery strikes are ongoing on Al-Arimah and Sheikh Issa while some reports suggest the Turkish Armed Forces will soon begin an offensive to capture Manbij.

Strangely, Hestroy, Netanyahu is not shy at all about his support to YPG 😀 They’re also one of the main buyers of KRG’s oil, i.e. between may and august 2015, they bought about $1bln oil from Bazrani. BTW, since before the 1967 war Israeli special forces have embedded with the Kurds 😀 In case you wouldn’t know too, Erdolf is one of the main backers of Hamas, with Qatar’s emir… And as Gollum openly said that Nazi Germany was an effective form of government, guess about how he’s popular in Israel… In case you wouldn’t know, Turks, as the same… Read more »

Seriously Masdar, you’ve got to fix your commenting system, it is atrocious! You can never, ever stayed logged in anymore, needing to do the code EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU COMMENT, and not only that, but you have to type out the code at least half a dozen times because it always says invalid! When you clearly see that you’ve typed exactly what’s there! I’m currently on 8 attempts at this point, not making a mistake once. Now 9. 9 times I’ve tried to post my comment. Comments used to be perfectly fine on this site, I have no idea what… Read more »

Russia is in deep trouble. It should help Syria against Turkey but it cannot afford antagonizing Turkey. So what?…

Turkey is into a war of aggression again.

Turkey will loose East Anatolia to the Kurds and Hatay to Syria.

Tongue out.

It’s like saying, “US will lose Texas to Mexico.” It will not happen.

Kardeş, the US is settled mostly by Americans. Only half of Anatolia’s inhabitants are ethnic Turks. Mexico borders to the US only on one side and makes no trouble. Erdogan picked trouble with all countries around Turkey. The US can spend as much on military as the next three big spenders together or even more. Turkey is so broke that the current equipment of the Türk Ordusu is outdated and was not good enough to drive IS out of al-Bab in 6 months. The IS only staged a tactical withdrawal when the better equipped SAA started to encircle them. p.s.… Read more »

Kardeş, Noone can’t deny that some eastern cities have Kurdish majority. But it doesn’t mean they will split apart. Turks and Kurds are settled in eastern Turkey also in western Turkey too. Marriages happen between them. Almost all of the new generation, at the age of bw. 20-30 knows Turkish. Turks and Kurds move freely around the country. No boss ask you are you Kurdish or Turkish? I’m not saying everything is perfect. But we are far from breaking point. Turkish army have enough weapons and personnel to take a 60.000 people city. It wouldn’t be problem. Turkey is at… Read more »

Kardeş, the problem is created by what Erdogan does. He excludes the Kurdish from political participation and that will rip Turkey apart. IMHO. All for becoming a dictator president with powers like Assad. Taking one town of 60.000 is not the art. But taking several and bigger ones without making so much collateral damage that the population is not driven to the enemy is. The town guerrilla will play the same game with the TA as the militants in Syria with the SAA. Making tanks and ships is not the problem. Paying them is. During a war some industries break… Read more »
