BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:15 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their large-scale advance in the eastern countryside of Aleppo on Monday, liberating several villages from the Islamic State forces in southern Al-Bab.
Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army began the day by storming the southern flank of Al-Bab, inflicting heavy damage on the Islamic State’s defenses.
The Tiger Forces managed to liberate 3 villages, including Umm Al-Imad and Tal Rahal, and one hilltop before reaching the key village of Khashbah on Monday afternoon.
Not long after reaching Khashbah, the Syrian Arab Army overran the Islamic State’s defenses, imposing full-control over the village as the terrorist group’s defenses continued to collapse during the day.
With several sites liberated from the Islamic State in the last 24 hours, the Syrian Arab Army is setting themselves up for their upcoming Al-Bab and Deir Hafer attacks to expel the terrorist forces from east Aleppo.
