BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:50 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their field operations in the central region of Syria, Sunday, liberating several areas from the Islamic State (ISIL) terror organization.
Backed by Russian airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Army liberated the two villages of Abu Hawadid and Ruhoum after a short battle with the Islamic State terrorists in the Jubb Al-Jarrah area of northeast Homs.
The Syrian Arab Army is now on the verge of liberating the entire Jubb Al-Jarrah District, leaving only a small area under the control of the Islamic State.
Once Jubb Al-Jarrah is liberated, the Syrian Army will only have to clear the eastern part of the Salamiyah District in order to have the Islamic State fully expelled.
