BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their wide-scale offensive in the eastern countryside of Aleppo on Tuesday, liberating another village from the Islamic State (ISIS) forces near the strategic city of Menbeij.
Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the southwestern perimeter of Al-Tayaheh on Tuesday morning, killing and wounding several members of the Islamic State amid their entry into this small village in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo.
According to Al-Masdar’s, Yusha Yuseef, the Tiger Forces fully liberated Al-Tayaheh before noon, today, putting an end to the terrorist group’s reign over this village.
With their latest advance in Aleppo, the Syrian Arab Army has successfully cutoff the Turkish forces from pushing further south of Al-Bab; this is important because of Damascus’ concerns over Ankara’s intentions to keep a permanent presence inside the country.
