BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:40 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is rolling in southwest Syria, today, liberating several towns that were previously under the control of the Islamic State affiliated Jaysh Khaled bin Walid forces.
Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army began the day by storming several towns that were under the control of the Islamic State.
Following a series of intense clashes, the Syrian Army announced the liberation of four towns in the northern corridor of the Yarmouk Basin region.
According to a field report from the Daraa Governorate, the Syrian Army liberated the towns of Bakar, Kar Sharqi, Umm Loqas, and Bassa Sharqiyah.
The field report added that the Syrian Army is working to encircle the key hilltop town of Tal Jamou, which is located in the eastern part of the Yarmouk Basin region.
