BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army resumed their field operations in Palmyra’s southeastern countryside, Tuesday, targeting the Bir Al-Badiya area near the T-3 Pumping Station.

Backed by heavy Russian airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Corps stormed the Bir Al-Badiya area in order to catch the Islamic State (ISIL) forces off-guard.

ISIL was expecting the Syrian Arab Army to attack the Talilah area once again; however, the latter’s high command changed the battle contingency to go around this site.

According to a military source, the Syrian Arab Army has liberated the Bir Al-Badiya area and they are now pushing further east towards the T-3 Pumping Station.

As they push further east, the Syrian Arab Army will ultimately impose fire-control over Talilah, forcing the Islamic State militants to abandon their positions in this area.
