BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:35 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored a big advance in southern Damascus, Tuesday, liberating several areas from the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists in Yarmouk Camp, Al-Qadam, and Hajar Al-Aswad.

Perhaps the Syrian Army’s most important advance actually took place in the Al-Qadam District, where their forces managed to liberate the imperative Al-Jorah Orchards after a fierce battle with the Islamic State.

The Al-Jorah Orchards operation was led by the 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, yesterday, with help from several other groups, including Liwaa Al-Quds and the National Defense Forces (NDF).

Below are several photos from the Al-Jorah Orchards that were taken by Syrian journalist Wassim ‘Issa yesterday:

That’s great. They are however going to have to clean the soil of any contamination from explosives, fuels, lubricants and cleaning agents before the orchards can be used for their normal agricultural use.
