BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:50 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored a massive advance in the Deir Ezzor Governorate this past weekend, liberating more than 45 km of territory between the strategic cities of Al-Mayadeen and Albukamal.

According to a military source, the Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces were able to liberate more than 45 km of territory in five days, putting them at the outskirts of several important towns in the Euphrates River Valley.

Not long after making this advance, the Syrian Arab Army was able to impose full control over the towns of Al-Salihiyah, Al-Duwir, and Al-Kashmah.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Arab Army has effectively cutoff all of the Islamic State’s (ISIS) supply lines to the Deir Ezzor Governorate.
