A multitude of foreigners from the militant group, “Khorasan” – a militia affiliated with the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Nusra Front (Jabhat Al-Nusra) in Syria – were killed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and National Defense Forces (NDF) yesterday, when the latter two ambushed the militants traveling from the village of ‘Ayn Al-Bayda to Al-Karab in the Latakia countryside. According to a military source, 11 members of the Khorasan group were killed during the ambush and another 13 were either captured or wounded.
Among the dead foreigners killed in the Latakia countryside was the Kazakstani leader of the Khorasan group in the province, ‘Abdel-Rahman Islamov (AKA “Abu Hareera Al-Kazakhstaani) and his second in command, “Abu Muslimiyya Al-Shishaani” (Chechen). These 2 field commanders of the Khorasan group were identified by their foreign fighters who were captured by the SAA and NDF near ‘Ayn Al-Bayda.

4. ‘Abdel-Salaam Khadeejah (From Saudi Arabia)
Jabhat Al-Nusra has closed the Binnish-Idlib Rd. and ‘Arb Sa’eed-Idlib Rd. in central Idlib after a series of attacks on their positions from local militias. Jabhat Al-Nusra and their allies have declared war on their former allies from the Syrian Revolutionaries Front (SRF) after a falling out between the leader of the latter, Jamaal Ma’arouf and Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani (Nusra leader).
The SAA has intensified their operations in the Idlib Governorate following their success last week in the western part of the province. This has become especially true in the besieged district of Ma’arat Al-Numan, where the SAA pounded Al-Nusra Front positions, killing their field commander, Raqi Mohammad Salim Ibrahim.
