BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:15 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a powerful assault against the Islamist rebels in southern Idlib and northern Hama this afternoon, a source from the military told Al-Masdar News.

According to the source, the Syrian Arab Army fired a number of surface-to-surface missiles towards the defenses of Jaysh Al-Izza and their allies in the town of Kafr Naboudeh (northern Hama) and Jarjanaz (southern Idlib).

The Syrian Arab Army then expanded their assault to the southeastern countryside of Idlib, where they targeted Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions at the towns of Al-Taman’ah, Khuwayn, and Sukeek.

This wide-scale assault by the Syrian Arab Army comes just hours after the Jaysh Al-Izza faction of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) attempted to infiltrate their positions near the town of Zalin in northern Hama.

Good as this might be, the SAA and allies really need to move troops in to take over territory where the foreign-backed head-choppers and liver-eaters are occupying Syrian territory. With the Turks wanting to take on the Kurdish YPG in Eastern Euphrates in the next few days despite the American presence there, this might be the best time to do so.
