BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:20 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a heavy attack across the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate this afternoon, targeting several areas controlled by both the jihadist and Turkish-backed rebels.
Led by their artillery teams, the Syrian Arab Army heavily targeted Jaysh Al-Izza and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants as far north as the strategic Jabal Al-Zawiya region in western Idlib.
According to a military report, the Syrian Arab Army scored several direct hits on Hay’at Tahrir All-Sham’s positions in Jabal Al-Zawiya; this resulted in a number of casualties for the jihadist group.
Furthermore, the Syrian Arab Army also heavily targeted the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate.
The report said that the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Division fired several artillery shells and surface-to-surface missiles towards Jaysh Al-Izza’s positions near the key town of Al-Latamnah.
