BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:40 P.M.) – Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a major assault at the town of Aftris, targeting the last fortifications of the Islamist rebels.
According to a military source, a combined force of Syrian Army units attacked Aftris from two different axes, seizing several points from the Islamist rebels as they push deeper into the town.
Meanwhile, in the northern part of the East Ghouta, the Syrian Arab Army began a new assault on the town of Al-Rayhan.
According to a military source, the Syrian Army has already seized almost all of the farms in Al-Rayhan’s northern, northeastern, and southern flanks.
The source added that the Syrian Army has now begun their attack to capture the Al-Rayhan from the Jaysh Al-Islam militants.
