BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:40 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched an attack against a group of Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) terrorists in the Badiya Al-Sham region of the Homs Governorate on Sunday.
Backed by heavy airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Army attacked the Islamic State terrorists north of the Sukhnah-Deir Ezzor Highway.
According to a field report from Homs, the Syrian Arab Army attack resulted in the death of several Islamic State terrorists and the destruction of their hideout near the desert town of Al-Sukhnah.
The Syrian Army also targeted the Islamic State terrorists near the Deir Ezzor border; thsi resulted in the death of a number of militants.
This latest attack by the Syrian Arab Army comes just days after the Islamic State launched a couple of attacks on the government’s positions in the region north of Al-Sukhnah.
