BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) carried out a heavy attack on a group of rebel fighters in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate this week.

Using their anti-tank guided missiles, the Syrian Arab Army targeted a vehicle carrying the commander of the Free Syrian Army near the town of Al-Latamnah.

According to a local report, the Syrian Arab Army killed the Free Syrian Army commander, Hisham Mustafa, during the assault on the rebel vehicle in northern Hama.

The report added that another fighter was killed and at least three others were badly wounded during the assault.

Over the last few months, the Syrian Arab Army and rebel forces in northern Hama have traded several attacks, while accusing each other of violating the September 17th Sochi Agreement.
