BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:15 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside the National Defense Forces (NDF), continued their wide-scale offensive in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate, today, targeting the territory near the Shumriyah Mountains.

Led by their 5th Legion, the Syrian Arab Army liberated the large hilltop of Tal Al-Madraj after a fierce battle with the Islamic State (ISIL) terrorists southeast of Umm Al-Siraj Al-Qabli area of the province.

Following the liberation of Tal Al-Madraj, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Legion and NDF advanced further south of this hilltop, capturing three more points near the Umm Al-Siraj Al-Qabli area.

The Syrian Arab Army and their allies have been steadily advancing in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate recently, liberating more 6 sites from the Islamic State militants in the last 24 hours.
