BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:20 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their field operations in the East Ghouta, today, striking the southern corridor of this farming region in Damascus’ eastern countryside.

Led by the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Arab Army stormed Faylaq Al-Rahman’s defenses at the town of Jisreen this morning; this would result in fierce battle that would last for several hours.

According to a military source from the 4th Division, the Syrian Arab Army managed to capture more than 10 buildings in Jisreen after seizing the farms surrounding the town from the Islamist rebel forces.

The source added that the Syrian uncovered a massive prison that was used by militants in Jisreen – all of the prisoners were moved out prior to the Syrian Army’s assault on the town.
