BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:35 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army’s Republican Guard forces issued their last warning to the jihadist rebels on Wednesday, demanding they either leave the last neighborhoods in eastern Aleppo or face death.
According to a military source in Aleppo, several jihadist rebels from Jaysh Al-Fateh and Fatah Halab have refused to leave the eastern neighborhoods, despite guarantees from the Syrian Arab Army that they will be allowed passage to the southwestern part of the provincial capital.
Based on footage from the American pro-militant activist, Bilal ‘Abdel-Kareem, the jihadist rebels in eastern Aleppo have strapped suicide belts onto their bodies in fear of being captured by the Syrian Arab Army.
The Syrian Army originally told the militants that they will not allow passage to foreign jihadists; however, after many complaints from the opposition delegation, the government agreed to allow these fighters to leave east Aleppo.
In the coming days, the situation in east Aleppo will likely take a turn for the worse if the Turkish regime does not intervene and force their financially-backed militants to leave the city.
