BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has issued a call to surrender to the rebel forces inside the rural Dara’a town of Muhjah after the latter violated the ceasefire terms several times in the last few months.

According to a military source in Damascus, the rebels must surrender the town in the coming days or else the Syrian Arab Army will attack their positions from all of Muhjah’s axes.

Muhjah was initially under a reconciliation agreement; however, the deal was contingent on the rebel forces committing to an open-ended ceasefire.

The rebel forces have carried out several unprovoked attacks against the Syrian Arab Army inside Muhjah; this has forced the latter to issue this call to surrender without preconditions.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
