BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has issued a final ultimatum to Jaysh Al-Islam in Douma that requires the Islamist group to accept the deal offered by the Russian Reconciliation Center.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army demanded Jaysh Al-Islam either accept the Russian deal or else prepare for an attack from their forces.

This ultimatum was issued after Jaysh Al-Islam refuted the Russian Ministry of Defense’s claims about accepting the East Ghouta deal that would have their forces evacuated to undisclosed location.

The source added that the Syrian Army’s biggest obstacle that is preventing their military operation in Douma is the large number of prisoners currently held in Jaysh Al-Islam’s jails.
