The Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces Brigade attacked the Al-Nusra Front controlled village of Jibeen on Friday, liberating the entire area by nightfall. According to the Tiger Forces, at least 80 members of the Al-Nusra Front were killed over the weekend, with the majority of the casualties deriving from the battle for Jibeen.
The National Defense Forces (NDF) have declared the village of Al-Hamamiyat under fire control in west Hama. The militants are on the outskirts of the town, attempting to regroup after the NDF onslaught. According to an NDF source, approximately 20 members of Jabhat Al-Nusra were killed and another 30 were wounded during this battle.
Firefights in Al-Lataminah have intensified over the course of a week, with the Tiger Forces persistently pushing their way past Jabhat Al-Nusra frontlines. The Tiger Forces have now entered the village from the south and they will conidentification north towards Kafr Zita and Morek. Jabhat Al-Nusra captured the Zileen Checkpoint in west Hama, after NDF fighters were forced to retreat. The checkpoint is located in the eastern part of the village; firefights are ongoing.
