ALEPPO, SYRIA (11:00 A.M.) – The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) launched a large-scale offensive at the Kuweires Military Airport in the eastern countryside of Aleppo on Friday.
ISIS began the offensive by sending a suicide bomber towards the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) defenses near the village of Nasrallah at the Kuweires Military Airport’s northern outskirts.
Luckily, the Syrian Armed Forces were able to foil the terrorist attack before it could reach its intended target near the Kuweires Military Airport.
Following the failed terrorist attack, ISIS stormed the northern countryside of the Kuweires Airport, resulting in a fierce battle that lasted for three hours on Friday morning.
The Syrian Armed Forces were able to repel the massive terrorist assault near Nasrallah village by Friday afternoon, killing as many as 20 Islamic State militants before clearing the area.
