DEIR EZZOR, SYRIA (6:10 A.M.) – The Islalmic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) launched another attack inside Deir Ezzor on Wednesday, targeting the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) defenses at the Heart Hospital near the Euphrates River.

According to a military source in Deir Ezzor, the Islamic State stormed the Heart Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, striking the southern corridor of the facility.

However, the Islamic State terrorists were unable to enter the building, despite sending wave after wave of combatants to the southern entrance of the Heart Hospital.

The military source added that as many as 20 Islamic State terrorists were killed in the latter’s failed offensive on Wednesday.

Since repelling the Islamic State’s attack on Wednesday night, the Syrian Armed Forces have cleansed the area of terrorists and reestablished control over the checkpoints they lost earlier in the day.
