Hama, Syria (10:10 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army’s 47th Regiment of the 11th Tank Division – backed by the 555th Regiment, Tiger Forces, and Iranian paramilitary fighters – launched a counter-attack in the northern Hama countryside on Monday, targeting the hilltops overlooking the key town of Qamhana.

The Syrian Armed Forces began the offensive on Monday morning by targeting Hill 30, capturing the entire area after a fierce battle with the exhausted fighters of Jund Al-Aqsa (Al-Qaeda franchise) and Faylaq Al-Sham.

Following the capture of Hill 30, the Syrian Armed Forces turned their attention to jihadist-controlled Hill 50, which overlooks the entire town of Qamhana from its western outskirts.

Not long after launching their attack on Hill 50, the Syrian Armed Forces imposed full control over this strategic site in northern Hama, forcing Jund Al-Aqsa and their allies to withdraw from the Qamhana outskirts.

Intense clashes are still ongoing west of Hill 50; however, the Syrian Armed Forces are reportedly still advancing amid the Russian airstrikes hitting the enemy combatants.

47 regiments is a SF regiment, belonging to SF Operations Division, which is under direct command of the Chief of Staff; just like the RG and 4th divisions.

11th division is not a special division, has no SF regiments, and is under command of 3 Corps structure.
