Aleppo, Syria – According to SANA, “an army unit discovered chemical materials of a Saudi source in a depot in Old Aleppo,” including sulfur and chlorine while combing through Aleppo’s formerly rebel-held districts.
Video footage from the combing operations uncovered mass loads of IEDs, mortar shells, hell cannons, and anti-vehicle missiles- all hidden in dozens of storage depots scattered around the city.
This development corroborates the government claim that the jihadists used chemical weapons against the Syrian Army in Aleppo injuring 30 soldiers, likewise with the attack on the Kurdish YPG units in Sheikh Maqsoud district in March of 2016. The latter attack was, however, confirmed by Jaish Al-Islam’s media wing which claimed that the commander who used the chemical weapons was duly reprimanded.
